There are four different permission levels inside of Shoflo, each of which can do different things. ย These permissions are:

  • Read Only

  • Contributor

  • Show Caller

  • Admin

While in your event you can quickly locate the crew tab near the top of the Event Dashboard. Next, just click the permission dropdown menu to the right of the crew member under the "Permission" column. Once you select the new permission it is automatically saved in real-time.ย

Permission Breakdown

Event crew can be assigned either Showcaller, Admin, Contributor, or Read-only for an event.ย

Read Only โ€“ Can only change things that affect their personal views. This includes the private notes column, column order, and personal highlights.

Contributor โ€“ Can do anything a Read-Only user can do with the additions of also editing cells within department columns.

Contributor in Shoflo Studio: limited functionality but can upload assets, chat with crew, and create banners.

Admin โ€“ Full permissions. Can edit all cells. Can add, delete or re-size rows and columns. They can edit overall event settings, manage crew, create new Rundowns, Studios, and upload files.

Admin in Shoflo Studio: limited functionality similar to contributors but can also take banners and overlays live.

Show Caller โ€“ Full permissions with the added ability to broadcast their location in the rundown, which will allow other users to track/follow them in real-time as they move from cue to cue.

Showcaller in Shoflo Studio: Full control.
